A discussion on population…

Gene Logsdon has put up a post on his thoughts on population growth and food availability.

It’s a touchy and uncomfortable subject….to say the least.

It brings up eugenics–there are stories out there of people like Bill Gates and the Rockefellers advocating for population control via eugenics and even through genetically modified food.  There is a video out there of Bill Gates advocating vaccines for this purpose.  I don’t know what to make of the video, so I’m not posting it– you’ll have to go find it yourself.

I think advocating de-population is morally and ethically wrong.  We get into the self-righteous, superiority of those who think they are *more special* than the rest, therefore, they should live while others die.

The comments are as interesting as the blog–with one suggesting that the population growth perhaps was a spiritual one of bringing more light into the world….

…with that, I would disagree.  There is so much negative energy on Earth that I would happily volunteer to go right now if God would take me.   Just give me enough morphine to stop my heart, and I’m good to go…

Speaking of negative energy, I was just thinking last night how much I missed teaching.  I enjoyed it and the kids’ earnest quest for knowledge.  I also liked that I didn’t have to put up with office politics nor office gossip.  When I was teaching, I would stay in the room and eat my lunch so I didn’t have to hear the teachers gossip (yes, they gossiped…mostly about stupid substitutes…).  I went in, did my job, and went home while avoiding all of that negative energy.  I didn’t have to put up with the tired questioning of my single status–there is definitely a prejudice against single people in this country.  The downside, of course, is the pay and the work-on-demand instead of a steady schedule.

And if you try to avoid the gossip and cut people off…as some suggest you do…you’re still screwed because the gossips then turn on you as a target.  I’ve actually had that happen to me.  I ended up leaving a good job because of it.

I suppose the questioning of population growth is related to our bad economy…not enough jobs that pay living wages….while jobs are shipped to other countries for even lower wages…and Burger King and their ilk go to other countries so they don’t have to pay their fair share of taxes….while war hawks push us towards another war again…while not taxing the rich….

Yeah, I’m in a negative mood…how could you tell?  😦

ALEC and Fossil Fuels

PRWatch has this up on ALEC continuing its dirty campaigns against everything that is logical.

From the piece:

ALEC is even going after people who want to generate solar power for their homes. The boom in home solar energy generation—there has been a 60 percent increase in domestic solar installations in the past year—is a threat to ALEC’s dirty energy producing members, so they have a bill to amend so-called net metering laws that allow homeowners to sell excess electricity back to the grid. It is the ability to do this that makes solar an increasingly affordable possibility for homeowners. ALEC’s bill would charge homeowners additional fees, with ALEC environment task force director John Eick telling The Guardian that these users are “free riders on the system.”

~~~~~~~~
You know, it’s one thing to try to promote your heavy-metal containing pollution, but it’s a whole ‘nother thing to try to prevent people from taking a proactive stance against your dirty fuel.  Unreal.
Solar energy has sooo many benefits–one of which is independence from the greedy energy producers whom have stripped our lands of trees, poisoned our water and soil, and then not paid for the land use nor taxes on top of that.
Sixty percent increase in solar energy use…just in the last year…this is a *huge* threat to them.
Mike Pence, doing ALEC’s bidding, along with the coal industry.
Not long ago, Indiana ranked in the top five for low cost of electricity. Now, thanks to an onslaught of regulations from Washington, Indiana ranks somewhere firmly in the middle of the pack.
~~~~~~~~~~

Reading between the lines, this is as much an admission of guilt for polluting our air, water, and soil with heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic) from coal. They were getting away with it until regulations prevented the free-for-all.

I keep thinking about that 17 million pounds of toxins put into our waterways every single year…and BP dumping mercury into Lake Michigan every single year, courtesy of Indiana Dept. of Environmental Mis-Management….and the lack of action when the toxic spill floated down the Ohio…

More on Big Pharma, drug deaths/reactions

I continued to look around for prescription drug deaths, and found a few helpful articles.  Not surprisingly, they come from the natural medicine aspect, with Mercola leading the way:

Prescription drug deaths/reactions.

Total number of prescription drugs, per state. THREE BILLION.  Incredible.  We are a drug nation, with California leading the way.  Good God.

Patient harm in medical care.  Government report here.

The 6 Top Thugs of the Drug world.

I had not seen the vaccine Freedom Wall.  Interesting read of people’s stories.  Why are they not being represented in the media?  Oh, right…every other commercial is a prescription drug…media supported by drug manufacturers is not about to tell the other side of the story….or at least give it much credibility if they do.

I found this compelling story:

This is one of 4 vaccine related events I have encountered. I hope to share others in subsequent postings. 2006 my 5 year old received his last recommended vaccines. He is my third child. I had my other two children vaccinated as recommended, but noticed over the years the number of vaccines increasing as well as the popularity of the combo vax. I respected my pediatrician at that time, but felt bamboozled as a throng of papers explaining the vaccines were given to me at the same time the injections were ready to be given. I scanned them quickly, but really had no idea of the true consequences. 12 hours later, he broke out with measles and low grade temp. Ok, not too worried because it can be expected according to doctor and pamphlets. The real surprise was the hives. All of this started at the injection site and rapidly spread to his entire body. I started benadryl and called doctor. I was told “it couldn’t be the vaccine since that would’ve happened at the office”. Luckily, no respiratory compromise occurred. Three days of benadryl. The doctor refused to report this as an adverse reaction. I’ve never vaccinated again. I am a RN, 21 years experience in ER, ICU and PACU. Never had I seen such a bizarre event, but I know it was vaccine related. Fifteen years ago, I would’ve thought blaming vaccines was crazy. After what myself and others have witnessed I don’t believe BIG PHARM is doing what’s best for patients. Please be your own advocate. Educate yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~
Note that this is an RN– a medical professional trained to recognize medical issues. The doctor refused to report the adverse reaction.  This, folks, should be a red flag at the scope of the problem–if physicians are not reporting them (there is no penalty for not reporting adverse events).
Another RN speaks out:
My story isn’t harassment but an assertion about the administration of vaccines. I am a registered nurse and have worked in many roles, school nurse, staff nurse, research nurse (at a top cancer center), telephonic nursing and case management. When I graduated from nursing in the 90’s, I was taught to “aspirate” when giving an IM injection like a vaccine. This means the needle is inserted into the muscle and the plunger is pulled back slightly to insure the needle tip has not entered a vein, This practice is no longer followed. you can google or bing “how to give an IM injection” and you will see that even the cdc does not instruct to aspirate. This is significant because of an experience I had when giving vaccinations to high schools students. To the best of my recollection, i vaccinated 30-40 students that day. I was vaccinating one of the last students, and when I aspirated, i got a surge of blood back in the syringe. Had I not aspirated first, and administered the vaccine, it would have entered his blood stream. I was in the correct anatomical location to administer an IM injection. The blood brain barrier is vulnerable to penetration by some elements, and intramuscular injections are NOT supposed to be given directly into the bloodstream. Today, with so many vaccines given at the same time, the practice of aspiration has been discarded, and I question the consequences of this action and the high rates of autism.
My child was given the Dtap vaccine about six days ago… Four hours after receiving her third dose of the vaccine she spiked a 102 fever that lasted for five days. She had jerking like convulsions in her sleep and could barely walk for five days. Thank god the fever finally broke today. As far as long term effects I do not know yet what we are facing but I do know I will never vaccinate again..
Being threatened with Child Services for refusing a Vitamin K shot:
 In the case of my wife and our child, not only are both mother and child not members of any risk factor categories, but my wife has been eating a diet naturally high in vitamin K and taking a prenatal supplement containing additional Vitamin K since well prior to the conception of our child. 9) I can only assume that the combination of all of these factors result in the cumulative risk of my child suffering from long term effects from intracranial hemorrhaging due to VKDB being less than 0.000946% – 0.001548%.
 At this time, based on these numbers and all of the other reasons stated above, I do not find this to be a compelling case to administer this injection to my child. Later in the day on 5/14 we were visited by two doctors who wished to discuss this decision with us.  Both doctors were professional and respectful, provided literature upon request, and were willing to engage in a constructive discussion.  At no time did either doctor indicate that we were not within our legal or medical rights to decline the Vitamin K injection, nor did either doctor indicate that there would be any repercussions taken against my wife or I for this action.  The following day however, a different doctor came to our room just a couple hours before our scheduled discharge for a final evaluation of our daughter.  His hands were visibly shaking during the examination, and he was not speaking much, until he concluded the examination and turned to my wife and I to berate us for our decision to decline the Vitamin K injection.  His scolding was unexpected and unprofessional, and concluded by him telling us we were shameful and that we would be reported to Children and Youth.  He was not interested in discussing our decision with us, or taking the time to get to know more about the patients he was criticizing and reporting to authorities for suspected neglect.  Furthermore, this was the first time we were learning that there was any possibility we would be reported to Children and Youth for declining this injection.
Upon further discussion with the original resident, a social worker, and the operations manager, we were informed of the following: 1) Other parents have also declined the Vitamin K injection for their newborns. 2) This hospital does not have a policy indicating that parents who decline the Vitamin K injection are automatically reported for suspected neglect. 3) We were reported for suspected neglect for no other reason than declining the Vitamin K injection. Based on this information, it seems to me that my wife and I were unfairly accused of being neglectful parents.
 We were subjectively reported for neglect under a non-specific policy that can apparently be invoked or not invoked depending on an individual physician’s preferences.  In other words, another physician on another day may very well not have reported us to Children and Youth for the same action.  In fact, the operations manager even indicated that if this had taken place six months ago, it would likely have not been an issue.
Also, my wife and I declined the Vitamin K injection for our son who was born in the same room on 7/3/2012, and we were not reported at that time. Based on all of this, I feel that our following patient rights (according to the November 2013 Patient Rights & Responsibilities) may have been violated: 5. A patient has the right to know what hospital rules and regulations apply to his conduct as a patient.  (We were not told that there was any possibility that we would be reported to Children and Youth for declining this injection, until the time the we were told we were being reported.) 8. The patient has the right to full information in layman’s terms, concerning his diagnosis, treatment and prognosis, including information about alternative treatments and possible complications.  (We were told that there are no side effects, when in fact, the package insert for the Vitamin K injection indicates that the injectable form of Vitamin K can cause fatal allergic reactions.) 11. A patient has the right to refuse drugs, treatment, or procedure offered by the hospital, to the extent permitted by law.  (If this is the case, and if the Vitamin K injection is simply a precautionary measure being offered to our child for a condition for which our child was not diagnosed . . . and a condition for which both mother and child had absolutely no signs, symptoms, or risk factors . . . then it was inappropriate to report us for suspected neglect based on the declination of this injection.) 22.
A patient has the right to be informed of his rights at the earliest possible moment in the course of his hospitalization.  (We were not told that there was any possibility that we would be reported to Children and Youth for declining this injection, until the time the we were told we were being reported.) 24. A patient or his or her representative (as allowed under Pennsylvania law) has the right to make informed decisions regarding his or her care . . . including be able to request or refuse treatment in accord with applicable law and regulation.  (If this is the case, and if the Vitamin K injection is simply a precautionary measure being offered to our child for a condition for which our child was not diagnosed . . . and a condition for which both mother and child had absolutely no signs, symptoms, or risk factors . . . then it was inappropriate to report us for suspected neglect based on the declination of this injection.) 40.
A patient has a right to have his or her cultural, psychosocial, spiritual and personal values, beliefs and preferences respected.  (The doctor’s communication with us was very belittling and disrespectful.) My wife and I were having an exceptional delivery experience and stay until this situation occurred.  Unfortunately, this turned what should have been one of the happiest days in the life of our family, into a day of tears and frustration for my wife and I.
Because of that, I am requesting the following: 1) I would like to be informed as to what is being done to ensure that this doctor will not be permitted to treat ourselves or other patients in this way in the future. 2) I would like to be informed as to how the hospital’s policies, and/or their implementation, will be clarified so that the reporting of parents for suspected neglect will not be done subjectively and arbitrarily, but will be done fairly and consistently. 3) As my wife and I are hoping to have more children in the future, I would like to be informed as to how this situation can/should be handled, both by us and the hospital, in the future so that we can avoid this situation. I look forward to hearing back from you in a timely manner.  Thank you.
And, finally (although there are plenty more)–preying on the young and vulnerable:
May 11, 2014
When I was 16 I was in for my first doctor’s appt alone. My doctor knew I had never been vaccinated and as a young adult had no interest ongoing against this upbringing. He proceeded to go on and on about it, giving me pamphlets and reiterating that he can “just go prepare the shots” After explaining several times I was NOT interested he finally looked me in the eye and said, “I know this is hard to hear but you may never carry a child to term if you are not vaccinated,” and then something along the lines of the fetus being infected and dying. I was shaking mad and horrified he would say this to me (remember I am 16 at this point) and even more so that he would use this scare tactic with ANYONE. I am healthy, unvaccinated and carried a baby girl (now almost 4 years old) to term just fine. This is fear-mongering. I never went back to that doctor. Please let us continue to make our own choices concerning our health; your body, your choice.
~~~~~~~~~
This is outrageous.  I had not been vaccinated, but had natural immunity with measles, mumps, rubella, and chicken pox — and carried all three of my pregnancies to term.  I had more harm done with Rho-Gam shots containing mercury and God knows what else…
And, this from a healthcare worker who refused to be a sheep, and could not get anyone to back her up:
May 10, 2014
I worked for a hospital who also mandated the flu shot for everyone unless you had a medical condition, signed and approved by your doctor. Employees were given a meeting and a woman from disease control said our shots were to make sure no employee passed the flu to a patient. I asked if there were documented cases where this had transpired and she completely avoided the question. After the meeting was over, a higher up I knew in the hospital told me to answer the question, no, no circumstance like that had been reported. Joint Commission was behind this change in mandating the flu shot, which previously you could opt out of due to religious reasons as well. The hospital would not receive medicaid/medicare reimbursement unless 90 percent of our staff were given the flu vaccine. In the past, we hadn’t reached 60 percent so they had to make it mandatory. I was pregnant at the time and unless I wanted to lose my job and my insurance be December 14th, I had to bring a signed vaccination form from my OBGYN stating a reason I couldn’t have the shot. My OBGYN said there was no reason I shouldn’t get a flu shot, she claims the ones in her office are single vial and therefore don’t pose a threat to me or my unborn child, and wouldn’t sign any waiver. I have since left that job. I had put up with all other mandated vaccinations and tests, but the flu shot I think is unfounded and potentially dangerous for nothing. Just money for someone’s pockets and leaving even the hospital with no choice since over half our patients are medicaid payers.
~~~~~~~~
Choice and autonomy seem to be a disappearing value of our culture.  We’re treated like children instead of adults with the ability to make our own decisions impacting our lives. There is plenty of evidence of vaccine injury without a lot of evidence to support vaccine claims.  I have yet to see evidence that if I don’t get vaccinated, and I get sick, that I will infect someone whom has been vaccinated–doesn’t that fly in the face of vaccine immunity?  If someone is vaccinated, and they develop antibodies, are they not protected against getting a disease?  If not, then the vaccine doesn’t really work, does it?
DMSA and Big Pharma
The word is out that Big Pharma, masquerading as the FDA, has now classified DMSA, one of the chelators we have used for heavy metal chelation, as a prescription-only drug.
Never mind that I and others on the group have safely used the chelator in low doses for YEARS.
I’m sure they’re very, very, very concerned about people using DMSA inappropriately. /snark
They’ll trot out a few idiots who didn’t use it properly and became ill…and use them as a reason to take it away from all of us who were using it properly and getting well.
…because Big Pharma wants it all, folks.  They want it all. Billions and billions of dollars in profits is not enough.
Never mind that most drugs that Big Pharma puts out there cause more heartache and more physical illness with side effects.
90,000 go to emergency rooms due to psychiatric drugs.
6% of Americans hooked on Rx drugs.
Who’s paying your doctor?  While the Sunshine Act is a good start, it doesn’t appear to give the public all the information they need–what companies are the doctors invested in?  This will absolutely affect their prescribing and from the quote in the article, below, it will affect the very care people receive:
Even with all the new information coming online this fall, the Sunshine Act will not capture all the financial forces that motivate physicians. For instance, many interventional cardiologists are paid for each procedure they perform, such as implanting stents that prop open clogged arteries. The more stents cardiologists implant, the more they are paid.
~~~~~~~~~~

So…what’s to stop the doctor from telling you that you have heart disease when you don’t?  How are you going to know that he/she got paid $$$ to put a stent in you that you didn’t need?

It’s no wonder that doctors are not recommending gluten free diets or more proactive prevention–those that are invested in drug companies or get paid for certain procedures aren’t going to tell the patient that there are ways to prevent it or even reverse the damage –through diet, exercise, and reducing your toxic exposure/load.

Related to this, I found a page on the poor animals being used for our entertainment…being drugged out of their minds to keep them complacent.  It is criminal what we do to animals.

It’s interesting that I’ve looked through pages of research terms for the amount of people dying from Rx drugs every year–and as yet have come up empty handed.  I’ll keep searching and be back if I find the info.

The toxic waterways

I had heard this report was out but hadn’t seen it until now–about our toxic waterways.  Indiana, unfortunately, heads the list for toxic load.  It’s worse than I first read about–the number now is 17 million pounds of toxins into our waterways.  43 million pounds released into the Ohio river, THE most toxic river.  Good Grief.

And Joe Donnelly, Dan Coats, and Jackie Walorski, paid by their bosses (in the form of campaign $$, and God knows what else), are fighting for the industries’ right to poison us.    Some of them are so bold to say they’re fighting for us and our families….seriously.  17 million pounds of toxins.  Whom is irresponsible, Mr. Coats?

NY Times has a page up on fines and violations…and how nobody takes responsibility.

The Sierra Club’s take on the Indiana Dept. of Environmental Mis-Management, including a dog boiled alive by hot water discharge, and a coal industry lobbyist being appointed to…wait for it…the IDEM–for prosecuting the polluters.  If this wasn’t so serious, I would be laughing my arse off.
